Page Layouts, Keeping it Consistant

One of the problems that I seem to be running into quite a bit regarding my final major project is the consistency of the layout of my book. Because there are so many different images of varying sizes and shapes its become quite difficult to keep them consistent and to a certain layout design.

I decided that for each section of the book their would be a different but repeated layout. This can first be seen in my character pages as each character starts with the final design and then goes on to walk through the design process of each, from various assets that the character may have to the simple blocking sketches.

This is also the same for the creature and infected designs as they follow a more sketchy route I have tried to make that particular part of the book look like a scrapbook. Though because I have a lot of designs I'm trying to keep them at one or two per page. This also goes for the weapon designs.

The landscape designs i'm strictly keeping one per page to so that the eye can concentrate on the finer details rather than being overwhelmed by too many landscapes on one page.

All of it is easier said than done to be honest. But i'm getting there bit by bit. Mat has been helping me and giving me confidence regarding the page layout to make it appear neat and professional. I'm just hoping I'm able to keep the same standard throughout my work in the book. The last thing that i want is for the standard to drop mid way through the book.
