Media Presence - Twitter

As part of trying to make a media presence on the internet I made myself a pro twitter account to update whenever possible. The only thing is that I haven't updated it in months. In fact to be completely honest I can't stand Twitter.

I'm not sure why I don't like Twitter. I think one of the main reasons that I don't go on it is because I already have much stronger media presences elsewhere on the web such as my own website, my official Facebook page and my Tumblr. When I try to juggle Twitter along with it things seem to get harder to maintain and it then just feels like it becomes a game of "juggle the websites".

Another reason that I don't like twitter is that if you aren't horrendously famous then you're going to have a really hard time getting a following of people who are actually interested in what you're all about. Because of this I'm actually going to wait it out a bit, I'm not going to deactivate my twitter as my website is linked to it. My plan of action regarding Twitter is to wait it out until I'm in a comfortable working position and able to actually show off a lot of interesting work that others can look forward to e.g.: LOtR concept art from Weta Workshop.

For now I'm going to lay off using Twitter all together, i don't want to clog up my profile with things that I've not put my whole heart and soul into when I can wait until its the right time and gain a large following quickly in a smaller amount of time.
