Another part of creating a media presence on the internet I made myself a new Tumblr account. I've been using Tumblr for years now so I was looking forward to making one designed more to show off my artwork rather than reflagging other artworks. Currently I have two separate blogs.

Ok so this Tumblr is my professional blog that is dedicated on my artwork only. This blog shows all of the professional work as well as the scribbles that I put up, basically anything to do with my artwork really, from photography to traditional and digital art. This is the blog that I also suggest people to look at when they ask to see my work online as I'm still working on perfecting my pro website.

This is a separate tumblr blog that I use purely for artistic reference and its not something that I will actively tell people about. This blog is for anything and everything that I found to be interesting and relevant to my artistic development, this could be anything from skinned animals, human anatomy, colour pallets and photography.
I've found that as an artist trying to develop her skills, its so so important to have some sort of folder or blog dedicated to storing all of your inspiration or reference, be in photographs or artwork from other artists that you can study at a later date. I also think its quite important to not be so afraid of putting up your scribbles and process work, I've heard from countless professionals that they don't just want to see the finished design but also the process of getting there, its like a window into your mind and into your way of thinking.
I'm going to keep up with my Tumblr as I've always done. Its the website that I'm on the most without a doubt when I have my own spare time so i can never forget to update it. I also have my own following on my Tumblr blog that keeps people up to date with my artwork so i'll continue to make my work available to view on there. I'm also looking into designing my own HTML to personalise my own Tumblr so that it looks more professional to people viewing it.
