Character Development: Serah Carlson

Serah is the last character in my survival group and probably the one that is most nearest to its completion, I'd say that she's the one who's face I'm most happy with as well as the overall design.

Serah is a 29 year old fitness instructor from England who came to Brazil to partake in the Rio Marathon as well as to see relatives who had emigrated over from the UK several years ago.
At the time of the outbreak Serah was an hour into her Marathon when she began to see the cheering onlookers falling around her, it was then she realised that they were being eaten by the infected. Serah and the rest of the marathon runners split away from the race to save themselves and others around them, some were lucky, others not so much.

Weeks into the outbreak and Serah had broken into an abandoned house that she used for safety as well as keeping items she found. When she wasn't scouting for food she would be sniping infected from the attic with a bow that she had looted from a nearby store. One day during the early evening infected clear out from her attic Serah spotted something she hadn't seen since the outbreak, a human being.

The newcomer introduced himself as Nick and no sooner had they exchanged pleasantries the man began to leave, desperate for company and with the opportunity for safety in numbers Serah pleaded with the American to let her join him on his journey and in return she would hunt and kill as many infected as needed. After some persuading the two begun to travel together and pick up more stragglers on the way. Being an athlete Serah is quick and light on her feet, making her the most nimble of the group by far.

Although headstrong and sometimes overly confident Serah is an important member of the group and cares for her other survivors very strongly. She is well versed in any sporting forms, including archery, making her a keen hand with a bow. Serah can also use pistols effectively but is weak with heavier weapons and knives.
